Sinead O'Connor Heads to Hospital, Seeks Treatment for Depression

In recent weeks, Sinead O'Connor has used Twitter to document her on-again, off-again marriage to fourth husband Barry Herridge and generally keep the world abreast of her fragile mental state. It's been pretty hairy stuff, but now, she's finally tweeted some good news.

In a message posted yesterday (Jan. 17), the 'Nothing Compares 2 U' singer revealed that she's heading for a hospital and seeking the help she recently pleaded for and obviously needs.

"Treatment for depression," she tweeted. "Not at all well. But they will put me back together quick."

She added that she would be "back.. and smiling. Prolly 2 weeks ish."
